Blog for Tuesday, June 20!!!

This has been a very eventful day. First, I took Calvin, our morbidly obese cat, to his new home in Pittsburg. I think he will really like it living with Uncle Ray and Aunt Mary. Aunt Mary seemed to really like him. In fact, she let him in the house. (She said just until he gets used to them) We'll see. It's a relief -- We found him a good home, he'll be happy, and Marshall can even go see him once-in-awhile. I like the idea of no more litter box or cat hair on the divan.

Now for the most exciting thing that happened today. I got my new computer. I love it. It sure was easy transferring everything over from my old computer to my new one. I can't believe how much more you can do with a computer today and how much easier it is to do it.

We'll I'm going to play around on the computer for awhile and then go to bed. I will be playing bridge all day tomorrow at Grand Lake, so I want to get my rest so I can concentrate on the cards and hopefully win big!!! Ha Ha! It's fun anyway.

More later.

June 9, 2006

I've been busy all week with my grandson, Marshall. He came down to visit all his grandparents this last week. He had a blast. I'm exhausted, but I had fun too. Thank goodness for kitty pools, cartoons and colors. I even managed to finish cleaning the house. Marshall's on his way h0me now so maybe things will return to normal around here.
The first thing I did after Marshall left was order my new computer. I can't wait to get it! An iMac, of course, with 2 GB of memory, a 20 inch screen, and a 500 GB hard drive. Oh yeah! I also ordered a 60GB iPod too. I could have gotten the Nano free, but of course they just used that for bait, they knew I'd be a sucker and want the best. (Don't care, I wanted it, I worked hard for it, and I'm going to enjoy it) Don't know why I'm carrying on so. Sounds like I'm trying to justify and I don't have to do that. ENOUGH!
Another thing I've accomplished since school has been out is successfully baking two more bubble cakes. I would have taken more pictures, but they looked just like the one I posted earlier.
Enough blabbing (or blogging) for now. Here's a few more pictures of grandkids, of course!

Summer vacation has started!!!

Wow, I've been out of school barely a week and I've gotten a lot done around the house. Two more rooms to go and I will have cleaned the entire house. Yipee!!!! Now if I can do the same in my classroom I will really feel I've accomplished something.
Won't get much done next week though because Marshall is coming for a week to visit Grandpa and Grandma. He's been talking about coming to our house for a month now. We'll see if he makes it a whole week. He's only stayed two or three days at a time before.
Oh yeah! Here's some more pictures of Katy and Michael and of course the dogs.
Two months and 3 days before we go to Hawaii!!!

We're going to Maui!!! Mike and Katy will be married on the beach August 7. This is really going to be a fun trip. We'll leave the 4th, get to do some sight seeing and beach lounging plus attend our daughter's wedding on the 7th. What more could a parent ask for?
Oh yeah! I can't post without a picture.
